Board of Management 2013 -2016
A new Board of Management will be appointed in early October. This Board will
serve a three year term of office from October 15th 2013. The Board of Management exercises broad governance of the school .
The functions and responsibilities of the Board of Management are set out in the Articles of Management and the Education Act 1998
The Board comprises of
Two parent nominees
Two teacher nominees
Four Trustee nominees
(The principal sits on the Board but has no vote.)
The selection of the two nominees of parents / guardians will be organised via letters from the
school as this allows everyone the opportunity to nominate and then vote in the election
process.
To begin this process each parent / guardian is hereby invited to nominate a maximum
of two parents / guardians. Please do not nominate anyone
without first asking the person. All nomination forms should be
returned to the school office before 12 noon on Tuesday, Sept 24th.
Parents / Guardians who receive at least three nominations will be contacted. Then a list of
those who allow their names to go forward for election will be compiled and
circulated to all parents/ guardians.
