On the 10th March 50 Music students from St.Mary's Secondary visited London to attend a West End Musical. The students were at Leicester Square to see the Award winning musical "Matilda". With the very best seats in the house the students from St. Marys were treated to a spectacular evening. The orchestral music flowed through the whole show and the students sang along as they had studied and performed the five main songs in class before their departure. The songs themselves were very melodic and had very different styles. "Revolting Children" was the song of the night. The show was very entertaining, upbeat with excellent choreography. The cast made up of a mixture of adults and 10 yr.olds sang and danced perfectly and the students of St.Mary’s were in awe of their performances. It was a wonderful experience for the Music students and no doubt will be of great benefit to their own performances in their Junior Cert and Leaving Cert Courses.
